Group or Channel Selection

Several methods can be used to select a new group

or channel.

METHOD 1: From knob: If group selection is pro-

grammed to the SYSTEM/GROUP/

CHANNEL knob, select a group by turning

the SYSTEM/GROUP/CHANNEL knob to

the desired group number position. The

display registers the new group name on

line two. If the knob is moved to a position

greater than the number of programmed

groups, the highest programmed group

will remain selected.

Note: If group selction is programmed to

the SYSTEM/GROUP/CHANNEL knob,

direct access to groups will not be avail-

able. Pressing the

or will scroll

through different sets of 16 groups each

(banks) if more than 16 groups are pro-

grammed into the radio. The groups within

each bank are then selectable via the

SYSTEM/GROUP/CHANNEL knob as

described in METHOD 1.

METHOD 2: From keypad: If group selection is pro-

grammed as the primary function of

and select a group by pressing

or to scroll through the group

list. The display registers the new group

name on line two.
